I went to my very first full mooon drumming circle last night and it was pretty great. kai, mklo, kcam, and wpark were all there, along with the woman hostessing and several other nice people. The most intense part for me was feeling, for the first time, really connected to my Native American heritage. There were a couple of times while we were drumming that I could help moving/dancing around the circle. Also, I don’t sing but I felt myself compelled to participate in the tonal ’singing’.

I’ve never felt the actual spirit of a people before but I felt it last night. I realize that what I felt was only a fraction of the whole but it was quite an experience. The circle is planning to keep going to these full mooon sessions and I’m hoping my schedule will permit.
